Hello! My name is Brent and I am an amateur and have only been doing photography since the end of 2012. Growing up, I loved drawing and sculpting, but never tried photography. I had always wanted to take pictures while on vacations or on nature walks, I just couldn't stand having to carry around my point and click cameras from Christmas or birthdays. It seemed like such an inconvenience to me at the time. I also told myself when I was younger that I was there, what do I need pictures for? Now though, if I travel, I bring my camera. The pictures I take are usually for me and the people who couldn't be there but would want to have been. This is a way I bring people along on my trips that couldn't come. This was inspired by an amazing person who I am lucky to call a friend. Not only did I want to take people along for a journey that they couldn't originally make, I wanted to show people how I sometimes see the world. I try to approach each image and determine what it is before I do anything. Is it a ticket to a new journey, or is it a ticket into my head? I love getting out to take shots with my son as well. I encourage my son in his artistic endeavors as I try mine. Luckily for him, he is learning the magic of photography at a much younger age than I did. As I am an amateur, any feedback I receive is very appreciated. Of course I hope it is constructive and helpful.
